The Children’s Inn and CEO Jennie Lucca to be Recognized at Washington Capitals Game on Tuesday at KPMG Community Champion

THE CHILDREN’S INN AND CEO JENNIE LUCCA TO BE RECOGNIZED AT WASHINGTON CAPITALS GAME ON TUESDAY AS KPMG COMMUNITY CHAMPION

BETHESDA, Md. — January 13, 2026 —The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and CEO Jennie Lucca will be honored at Capital One Arena as a KPMG U.S. Community Champion on Tuesday night during the Washington Capitals’ game against the Montreal Canadiens. Lucca will be joined by representatives of The Children’s Inn, including families and staffers, to enjoy the game from the KPMG suite.

 

“We are deeply honored to be recognized as a KPMG Community Champion and sincerely grateful to KPMG and the Washington Capitals for their extraordinary hospitality,” said Lucca. “I am proud to accept this recognition on behalf of the entire Children’s Inn community—our staff, volunteers, donors, and partners—who together create a Place Like Home for  families pursuing life-saving cures at the NIH. Moments like tonight remind us of the power of community, and I know this experience will create lasting memories for our families and for all of us who are privileged to support them.”

 

The Inn will be spotlighted throughout Capital One Arena on Tuesday night, with displays recognizing it as a KPMG Community Champion both before and during the game. During the first period, The Inn will receive a special recognition on the arena’s main 360-degree video board, which hangs from the ceiling at center ice.
