Legendary Musicians Rock for The Children’s Inn at NIH
BETHESDA, Maryland (March 2, 2015) Notable musicians from bands including Bad Company, Supertramp, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel’s and Stevie Wonder’s bands are getting together on Saturday, March 14th to raise money for The Children’s Inn at NIH. The Inn provides a free “Place Like Home” for children who have serious and life-threatening illnesses who are taking part in groundbreaking medical research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The event will take place at Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club and will include music, dancing, food and drink and silent and live auctions.

Tickets start at $75 for general admission and range to $400 for VIP admission, which includes sound check access, performer autographed memorabilia, photo opportunity access at sound check, stage front access during event, buffet and open bar included. Since 1990, The Children’s Inn has provided more than 12,500 children and families from all over the U.S. and 86 countries with a free place to stay, as well as emotional and social support while they take part in clinical trials at the NIH. Inn residents participate in research studies for life-threatening and debilitating diseases such as heart, lung, blood, bone, and growth disorders, mental illness, rare genetic conditions, many forms of cancer, and undiagnosed diseases.
The Rock and Roll for Children Foundation is a volunteer-based non-profit that operates with the assistance of charitable gifts and in-kind donations. Capitalizing on their love of music, with the help of philanthropic corporate and private donors, along with the tireless devotion of their all-volunteer team, they have used this unique Rock & Roll Event to raise money for a variety of children’s causes.
