The Children’s Inn at NIH is One of Washington Area’s Top Employers

BETHESDA, Maryland (May 11, 2017) – The Children’s Inn at NIH, a private nonprofit organization located in Bethesda, Maryland, has for the second year in a row been recognized as one of the Washington region’s Best Places To Work by the Washington Business Journal.

The Washington Business Journal’s 2017 Best Places to Work in Greater Washington contest honors 85 area companies that received top scores by their own employees in Quantum Workplace’s annual employee survey.

“We’re proud to be recognized as a top employer in the Washington region,” said Jennie Lucca, CEO of The Children’s Inn. “Our mission to create ‘A Place Like Home’ guides us in everything we do – both for the families of children with critical illnesses who reside with us as well as for our family of employees.”

Opened in 1990 across from the National Institutes of Health’s Clinical Center, The Children’s Inn provides free lodging and a wide range of educational, therapeutic and recreational services to families of children with critical or rare illnesses who are enrolled in clinical trials at the NIH, often their last and only hope.

The Washington Business Journal has been working with Quantum Workplace for 11 years to rank employers based on employee engagement. See a full list of 2017 BPTW honorees.
