The health and safety of our Children’s Inn family is always our top priority, as such, to help contain the spread of COVID-19, The Children’s Inn at NIH has decided to cancel An Evening for Hope gala on April 25, 2020.
As you know, the annual gala is The Inn’s premier fundraiser and brings together government executives and private industry. Traditionally, through sponsorships, a silent auction and a live auction, the event has netted more than $1 million annually to support families in need.
“Gala proceeds help us provide free lodging and support services for children seeking their best hope for a treatment or a cure in an NIH clinical research study,” said Jennie Lucca, CEO. “During these unusual circumstances, we are extremely grateful to all who have decided to continue to support The Inn this year through their gala contributions.”
An Evening for Hope will not be rescheduled this year; however, we are planning to host an auction virtually. The Inn is also committed to providing an opportunity to connect our gala sponsors with key government executives, in the coming months. More to follow on this initiative.
We will miss seeing you on April 25th. Please know how much we appreciate your support of The Inn.
